Privacy policy
Information used by OrthIQ
OrthIQ stores account details such as your name and email, authentication records, clinician–patient links and invitations, prescribed exercises, recorded sensor waveforms, exercise times, weights and movement scores. When you connect a sensor, OrthIQ stores its identifier, name and firmware version. Demo and waitlist forms collect the contact details you submit.
Why the app uses this information
Your account lets you access your exercises. Bluetooth connects the app to your sensor. Recorded movement data supports exercise feedback and progress tracking. Your linked clinician can view your recorded sessions and assign exercises. Movement scores are estimates for exercise feedback, not a diagnosis or a substitute for your clinician’s judgment.
Service providers and sharing
Convex provides authentication, database and sensor-data storage. Vercel hosts the websites. Resend delivers verification, password-reset and invitation emails. Cloudflare Turnstile checks website form submissions for automated abuse. The app does not include advertising or payment SDKs. Your clinician can access the exercise information you share through your linked account. Operational logs and backups are handled by the services running OrthIQ.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit your name in Profile, reset your password, revoke Bluetooth permission in device settings, and delete your account from Profile → Delete account. Deletion requires your password, ends access immediately, and removes associated records through background jobs. Clinician deletion also removes their exercise library and associated history and disconnects patients. Records maintained separately by your clinic are outside OrthIQ. Provider backups may persist under the applicable provider retention settings.
